Küfa & VerasOtepic on Tour 2019 ‎Permakultur in Kenia

Let's have a nice evening, enjoy a nice home made dinner with rescued bio organic food from being dumped in the trash. After, we will have a presentation with the founder and coordinator of OTEPIC, a permaculture ecovillage project in Kenya, he will be sharing his experience with us, we can ask questions and interact in a relaxed enviroment.

Philip Munyasia is the founder of the self-help project OTEPIC and the hope bearer of his community in the northwest of Kenya. With permaculture, OTEPIC brings opportunities and perspectives to one of Kenya's poorest regions. With OTEPIC, the inhabitants of the Mitume slum realize their vision of peaceful coexistence, food security, clean drinking water, education and equal rights for all people.

OTEPIC “Organic Technology Extension and Promotion of Initiative Centre” was established in 2008 as a grassroots community project in Kitale, a city in Western Kenya.

From the start, Philip Odhiambo Munyasia mobilized young people and women’s groups from Kitale’s slums. The aim was to grow their own food, plant trees for reforestation, ensure sustainable water supply, use renewable energies, develop community building and to find peaceful solutions for (tribal) conflicts.
